Description

The Ideal Candidate Would:

-Inspire a love of history: Possess a deep knowledge of historical content, a passion for making history relevant and engaging for high school students, and a commitment to fostering critical thinking and historical analysis skills.
-Develop student-athletes: Demonstrate strong coaching abilities, a commitment to athlete development (both skill-based and character-based), and an understanding of the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication.
-Be a positive role model: Exhibit excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine desire to mentor young people.
-Contribute to our school community: Be enthusiastic about participating in school events and supporting the overall mission of Watts Public School.

Required Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
-Valid Oklahoma teaching certification in Social Studies/History (or eligibility for certification).
-Knowledge of current coaching techniques and safety protocols for 8-man football or a willingness to learn.
-Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications -CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
-CDL with Bus (S) endorsement.
